Why tests?

Fire safety requirements are specified in the building regulations. By means of test reports and classification reports Efectis can demonstrate that the fire safety requirements have been satisfied. These reports present the performance of a product on the basis of fire tests that have been harmonised throughout the whole of Europe. Through a sensible choice of purpose orientated test programmes, Efectis actively assists and supports its clients in the introduction of their product ranges onto the European market.

More and more unique projects are being realised with unique fire safety concepts. Often these ‘specials’ involve components or solutions that have been purposely designed for the project. A fire test can give insight into whether specific fire safety requirements are being met. An example of this is the full-scale testing of a road tunnel extinguishing system in a purpose-made tunnel that was built at our site in Rijswijk.
