Le comportement au feu de fen\u00eatres install\u00e9es sur la fa\u00e7ade d\u2019un b\u00e2timent a une grande importance sur le d\u00e9veloppement d\u2019un incendie. Lorsqu\u2019elles sont soumises aux actions thermiques d\u2019un feu, les fen\u00eatres peuvent avoir une faible r\u00e9sistance, et ainsi causer une d\u00e9faillance. Lorsque cela arrive, elles se transforment en ouvertures additionnelles de ventilation, alt\u00e9rant la fourniture d\u2019air frais \u00e0 l\u2019espace clos.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Plusieurs observations et \u00e9tudes num\u00e9riques ont permis de comprendre le d\u00e9veloppement du feu \u00e0 l\u2019int\u00e9rieur des appartements et sur la fa\u00e7ade lors de l\u2019incendie de la Tour Grenfell. Pendant ces analyses, le besoin de recherches plus avanc\u00e9es sur la d\u00e9faillance des fen\u00eatres s\u2019est fait sentir. Afin d\u2019analyser le comportement des fen\u00eatres pendant l\u2019incendie, il a \u00e9t\u00e9 utilis\u00e9e une mod\u00e9lisation thermom\u00e9canique avanc\u00e9e selon la m\u00e9thode des \u00e9l\u00e9ments finis. Dans un premier temps, une analyse de transfert thermique a \u00e9t\u00e9 r\u00e9alis\u00e9e sur les fen\u00eatres qui ont \u00e9t\u00e9 soumises aux flammes ext\u00e9rieures selon le sc\u00e9nario identifi\u00e9. Les charges thermiques \u00e9valu\u00e9es \u00e0 partir de l\u2019incendie sont appliqu\u00e9es sur les structures des fen\u00eatres afin d\u2019estimer leurs temps de d\u00e9faillance. Deux configurations d\u2019encadrement de fen\u00eatre, ferm\u00e9es et inclin\u00e9es, sont \u00e0 l\u2019\u00e9tude num\u00e9riquement. Puis, une analyse thermom\u00e9canique de la fen\u00eatre est faite pour chaque configuration. Les temps de d\u00e9faillance mod\u00e9lis\u00e9s sont compar\u00e9s avec ceux obtenus depuis les observations. La bonne corr\u00e9lation observ\u00e9e, sans tenir compte de la configuration des encadrements, justifie l\u2019utilisation d\u2019un crit\u00e8re simplifi\u00e9 pour la d\u00e9faillance des fen\u00eatres pour les prochaines \u00e9tapes de l\u2019\u00e9tude.
