Vanaf 1 november 2016 is de productnorm EN 16034:2014 voor brandwerende deuren van kracht. Vanaf dat moment gaat de coëxistentie-periode van drie jaar in, waarna – vanaf 1 november 2019 – CE‑markering van brandwerende deuren volgens EN 16034 verplicht is.
In de publicatie in OJEU van 28 oktober 2016 wordt in een aanvullende noot vermeld dat EN 16034:2014 – Pedestrian doorsets, industrial, commercial, garage doors and openable windows – Product standard, performance characteristics – Fire resisting and/or smoke control characteristics alleen moet worden toegepast in samenhang met:
EN 13241-1:2003+A2:2016 – Industrial, commercial, garage doors and gates – Product standard, performance characteristics EN 14351-1:2006+A2:2016 – Windows and doors – Product standard, performance characteristics – Part 1: Windows and external pedestrian doorsets.
Voor brandwerende (buiten-)deuren kunnen Efectis France Certification en Efectis Nederland Certificatie, na notificatie als certificerende instantie, u behulpzaam zijn bij CE markering.
