As a result, the term \u201cfire direction\u201d should no longer appear in classifications; however, the fact that the product has been tested from <strong>both sides<\/strong> must be clearly indicated in both the classification reports and the certificate. In line with this change, existing certificates must also be updated.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>a) Double Fire Direction:<\/strong><br>Previous classifications, <strong>(i\u2192o)<\/strong> and <strong>(o\u2192i)<\/strong>, are no longer valid.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>b) Blade Axis:<\/strong><br>The new classification standard requires that the <strong>orientation of the damper blade axis (horizontal\/vertical)<\/strong> be specified in the classifications. Accordingly, certificates issued under <strong>EN 15650:2010<\/strong> must be updated to include this information.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Additionally, the current documentation of EN 15650:2010 still references the older <strong>EN 13501-3:2005<\/strong> standard, which may give the impression that the old sub-classifications (<strong>i\u2192o<\/strong>) are still valid. However, the official position from the European Commission clarifies that <strong>regulations take precedence over standards<\/strong>, meaning that the <strong>i\u2192o classification is no longer valid<\/strong>.
