Efectis recently signed a Memorandum of Understanding with the Road, Housing & Urban Development Research Center to increase the fire safety levels of buildings and infrastructure in Iran. At the present time, Efectis is performing fire resistance tests for the Iranian market in order to respond to Iranian regulations. A new regulation concerning the fire safety of buildings is due to be published before the summer of 2017.
On 22 February 2017, Efectis attended the Second Conference on Urban Fire Services and Safety in Tehran, giving presentations on the organisation and planning of French fire services and on fire safety in tunnels. Efectis met the fire investigation committee that is studying the Plasco building collapse, in which firefighters perished. Efectis sent condolences to the families of the firefighters who died to save the lives of others. Efectis is and will continue to be Iran’s main partner in increasing the safety level of buildings and construction sites.
