On behalf of VABO Composites, Efectis Nederland carried out a fire resistance test on two doors mounted in an insulated polyester bulkhead according to IMO, FTP Code 2010, part 11.
The watertight polyester door construction, including a porthole, was tested while mounted in a polyester bulkhead with an insulation layer at the exposed side. By mounting two doors, one opening to the fireside and one opening away from the fire side, the door was tested for both directions of the fire.
